PS5 & Xbox Series X: 8 Biggest Questions We STILL Have
5. Is The Future Of Gaming In Streaming?
You'll likely already have answered in your head, as the idea of game streaming conjures up a handful of responses across the board.
Either you're firmly against it; citing the inevitability of lag as a reason why, are in full support; wanting games-on-the-go more regularly and have access to a decent infrastructure for large data packets, or you're on the fence.
This latter group is by far the largest, as although Google Stadia crashed and burned even from first sight, reports from those who've gone hands on with Microsoft's xCloud technology confirm it's the real deal.
To back that play, Microsoft have invested heavily in mobile phone attachments - various segmented controllers you slot a phone into, or on top of. Xbox's own Aaron Greenberg even declared "the console wars are over" in regards to the Razer Kishi gamepad and its cross-compatibility with Game Pass on Android.
Is streaming the future of gaming, or will losing a match because you went through a reception area tank the whole thing?
My gut says it's the latter.
