Ranking Every Upcoming Video Game Of Q1 2019
Let's get VERY excited.
Another year, another round of games to start looking forward to.
With 2018 being such an amazing year for gaming, 2019 certainly has a lot to live up to. That doesn't seem like it'll be a problem though, as this year is absolutely loaded with games to play even when you're just looking at the first few months.
We'll be focusing on Q1 2019, which runs until the end of March. Unfortunately that means games like Mortal Kombat 11 and Days Gone won't be on here, so we'll have to take a look at those another time.
In the past couple of years, the first quarter of the year has actually been one of the more interesting times of the year for game releases, as it's where the smaller and weirder games get their chance to shine. The end months of the year are when juggernauts like Call of Duty and Red Dead release, which makes the early months of the year a safer bet for more risky games.
With all that in mind, let's take a look at how exciting these next few months are going to be for gamers.
14. Overkill's The Walking Dead (PS4 & Xbox One)
The long-awaited console port of Overkill's The Walking Dead... oh wait, that game was pretty bad.
One of the bigger gaming tragedies of 2018 was what happened to Overkill's The Walking Dead. What once seemed like a pretty exciting project from a beloved developer soon turned into a massive disappointment with a dying playerbase.
Initially only released on PC, it's now being ported to both the PS4 and Xbox One, and it's safe to say that it's the weakest game in the first quarter of 2019.
Overkill's The Walking Dead was strife with bugs, weak combat and overall, felt generally uninspired. The trailers made it look like it would have an interesting cast of characters and story, but there's practically none at all in the final game.
With such strong competition and a lack of anything that sets you apart, you're probably not going to make much of an impact no matter when you release.
