Red Dead Redemption 2 Reviews: 9 Early Reactions You Need To Know

9. Story Is 60 Hours Long

Though it felt like a suitably epic, sprawling western back in 2010, the first Red Dead Redemption "only" took 18 hours to complete. That's paltry by today's standards (especially when the gargantuan likes of Ubisoft's catalogue are on shelves), but it's good to see Rockstar amping things up considerably here too.

RDR 2's main story will take you no less than 60 hours to clock, and that's without counting side missions, collectibles or any other open-world interactions to get lost in.

Red Dead 2's "side" content comprises everything from grizzly murders to random pedestrians looking for a helping hand. Various critics note that some of the most interesting things to see and do come from travelling between missions and taking your time, but either way, there's a TON of value for money.
