Red Dead Redemption 3: 10 Cities That Could Be On The Map

7. Wichita, Kansas

The Chisholm Trail was a famous post-Civil War cattle drive route that started in San Antonio, Texas, and ended in Wichita, Kansas (and Abilene, before that). During its lifespan, the Chisholm Trail was followed by over five million cattle and one million mustangs, making it the single largest migration of livestock in world history. As such, Wichita was one of America's premier livestock hubs, as evidenced by its nickname: "Cowtown".

In this regard, it isn't too dissimilar to RDR2's Valentine, though it was much more active and much more violent. Wichita - as well as its neighboring town of Delano - were lousy with brothels, saloons, and gambling dens. One of the biggest draws for rougher individuals was the lack of law enforcement in either town.

A town based on Wichita (and Delano, by extension) would prove fertile ground for a wandering band of outlaws to set up shop (be the the Van der Linde crew, or an entirely new cast of characters).

Things were whipped into shape in Wichita when the legendary Wyatt Earp joined the force and began aggressively policing the cowboys that had been running amok in the town. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.
