Resident Evil 4: 25 Mind-Blowing Things You Didn't Know

14. A.I. Difficulty Changes Based On How You Play

What made Resident Evil 4 so great was that it was just easy to pick up and play. Not only did the genre-defining third person action feel intuitive, the game was forgiving to players of less skill.

Specifically, in fact, it pays attention to what you're doing and moves an unseen slider up and down within the game's code. Depending on how well you're keeping the Ganado at bay, behaviours, effectiveness and even the amount of foes will vary. The game features different difficulties, each with their own minimum and maximum challenge on this scale.

Additionally, playing the game on easy mode changes a few of the locations drastically, removing rooms from the campaign entirely. Notable examples include the clocktower in chapter 4-1 and the hedge maze in chapter 3-2.
