Resident Evil 4: 25 Mind-Blowing Things You Didn't Know

4. Chainsaw Maniac

One of Resident Evil 4's most recognisable pieces of iconography is its use of the chainsaw. Extra fact: the name of the enemy that wields one as a weapon is simply called Chainsaw Ganado, but fans have been calling him "Dr Salvador" for so long, no one really questions it.

Of course, both the GameCube and PlayStation 2 had weird chainsaw-shaped controllers as a brilliant piece of marketing, but the PS2 game also had its own browser-based spin-off.

Chainsaw Maniac was a minigame stylised on Nintendo's Game & Watch where players fight waves of Ganado as a tiny lil' Leon. It's possible to still find this on the internet with a little digging but it'll hardly keep you as entertained as the main game.

Next time someone tells you they've played every Resi game, ask them about Chainsaw Maniac!
