Rock Band 4: 10 Essential Bands That Must Be Included
With Guitar Hero Live dropping the ball, can Harmonix save the day?
Following the complete saturation of the Rhythm genre a few years back - where far too many titles were released in too short a period of time alongside the enormous cost of buying the requisite new instruments - it appeared that Rock Band and its most famous rival Guitar Hero were set to become little more than a footnote in gaming history. However, that idea was completely turned on its head in early April 2015, when Harmonix announced that they would be bringing a new Rock Band title to gamers. Coincidentally, Activision also announced the revival of the Guitar Hero franchise mere weeks later. With excitement for both titles already starting to reach a fever pitch, it's time to examine some of the artists that really need to be in the latest version of Rock Band. Some of these were legends in their own time, but and have had fans clamouring to play some of their classic songs in the comfort of their own homes since the very first Rock Band release. Others are part of the modern era of rock, carrying the genre through to a new generation without attaining the recognition they deserve from the series. What's for certain is that every band on this list has plenty to contribute to the game, yet have been sorely missing from previous versions.
