Rocket League: 10 Essential Tips & Tricks You Need To Know

7. Learn How To Pass

Although it seems like a no-brainer, you€™d be surprised at just how many players in Rocket League refuse to pass the ball to their team. Always going for personal glory, you€™ll no doubt find yourself in games where every player just smashes the ball to the other end of the court every time they see it, speeding through tactical opportunities just so they can steal a shot for themselves. Which is a shame, because playing like this only causes frustration to not only your own team, but also your opponents as the ball does nothing but rocket from one end of the arena to the other. Although everyone knows to hit the ball towards the centre of the field when you€™re deep in your opponent's half, learning how to lay-off and pass to your team with finesse is hugely important. Even if you have the chance to strike the ball without any resistance, you have to always check to make sure a teammate wouldn€™t be better suited to the shot, and if they are, you should probably set them up with a small nudging pass instead of trying to score a goal you know you€™re going to miss.
