Anyone who's obsessed over the many, many easter eggs throughout the Batman: Arkham series will be able to attest to the fact Batman isn't the only hero of the Arkhamverse. Characters like Green Arrow and Black Canary, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Superman have all been teased at some point, only with Knight, the nods got even more blatant.

Returning to Bruce Wayne's office, players are given the opportunity to check in on his answering machine. Among the easter eggs included is a nod to Batwoman, but also to Lex Luthor as well. His message reveals that Lexcorp are attempting to prise away Wayne Enterprise's Applied Sciences division - the place where Batman gets his wonderful toys.

It's unlikely that Bruce will wish to part with that part of the company, and indeed, it looks as though Lex is already aware of that fact. Regardless, it provides the necessary basis from which to launch into a game surrounding Superman, or even (as has been rumoured), a Batman/Superman team up.

These nods to the wider DCU are made only more interesting by the fact that Rocksteady sent along a Super-themed cake to fellow DC developers NetherRealm studios, who'd recently wrapped up production on the sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us. Granted the 'S' on the cake is lifted straight from the model used for Supergirl, but still, why send along a Superman cake if you're so synonymous with Batman?
