7. Frostflow Abyss

If this name sounds familiar, you may have caught my retelling of this quest in my Darkest Quests In Elder Scrolls History video but it belongs here too so let’s take another look.

Frostflow Abyss is not only out of the way, so you’ll feel good about having found it, it’s also a rewarding story to uncover. Not a feel good story, mind you, but a rewarding one. Located on the coast of Winterhold, this lighthouse once housed a recently located family who were tragically killed by the nest of Falmers under their new home. As you delve further into the lighthouse, slashing through Falmer as you go, you’ll discover more about what befell the family, and the journal entries leading up to their respective demise are pretty damn devastating. The story of this one is worth it on its own, but as the quest concludes you’ll also gain a permanent effect called Sailor’s Repose which gives healing spells a 10% effectiveness boost.
