Skyrim: Dragonborn: 5 Reasons It's Awesome, 5 Reasons It Sucks

3. Side Quests

004 Given that the bare bones single player campaign actually isn't that long, it follows that the vast majority of your value for money will come from the litany of sidequests throughout Solstheim. The quests themselves are as varied as we have come to expect, ranging from the simplicity of helping out locals who are being hassled by creatures or bandits, to peculiar tasks such as finding unexpected peace with a bizarre gang of Reiklings, but to say anymore than that would just be spoiling the fun of this particular oddball mission. Like before, the game allows you to play through the game in the way you see fit; you're able to help the less-fortunate for simply the warm, fuzzy feeling it gives you, or you can try to extort money from those in desperate situations. How these sidequests help to build your character beyond the confines of the relatively short single player cannot be downplayed; Bethesda does a fantastic job of making even the most trivial sidequest seem absolutely essential, such that completing every last one quickly becomes an addiction.
