The superhero personas of the show's characters have appeared in five episodes to date - standalone episodes in seasons thirteen and twenty-one and a three-parter in season fourteen. Said three-porter predominantly focused on The Coon and his alliance with the Lovecraftian monster Cthulhu, who is released from a three thousand year slumber when BP manage to make another calamitous error when drilling for oil.

Introduced in this story is Captain Hindsight, who has the superpower of 'perfect 20/20 hindsight' and shows up at the scenes of disasters to tell the police what could've been done to prevent it, with neither party actually doing anything to save the people affected. The Coon tries to recruit him before his partnership with Cthulhu takes him down the path of evil, though they do massacre Justin Bieber during their campaign of carnage.

Hindsight's everyday persona is that of Jack Brolin, a newspaper reporter. Brolin appears in the Fractured But Whole and can be acquired as a Coonstagram follower when four different powers are equipped. His costume, meanwhile, can be found in one of the lockers when the team assault Professor Chaos' stronghold at the U-STOR-IT facility.

The game never puts two and two together and has Hindsight show up to provide his assistance (or lack thereof) though, which seems like a missed opportunity given the comedic situations that his presence would've created.
