5. Countless Marvel Locations
While we're talking about landmarks, let's go over the huge amount of Marvel easter eggs found throughout the city. While this list would have to be a lot longer to include all of these locations individually, it would be a crime not to talk about them and so we decided to condense them down to one entry.
The largest and most obvious landmark to find in the game is Avengers Tower. Modeled after the one seen in The Avengers movie, it was the first place most fans swung to in order to check it out in all its glory. Unfortunately, the tower seems empty, as Earth's mightiest heroes seem to be in "The West Coast" according to Spider-Man. Interestingly, the opening gameplay for the upcoming Avengers game takes place in the west coast city of San Francisco, which possibly hints at the two games being somehow in the same Universe. If for some reason you haven't swung your way over to the tower, it can be found in the Financial District.
As well as the tower, there are references to Doctor Strange, The Inhumans, The Defenders and even Damage Control, all found across New York.
