Star Wars Battlefront 3: 10 Fan Demands DICE Can't Ignore
6. Ground And Air Campaigns
One of the things Battlefront II's campaign mode did most successfully was to offer space flight sections as a distraction to the main ground combat based story.
The inevitable sequel, however, needs to go further still and lean more heavily into this aspect of the Star Wars saga.
The classic X-Wing and TIE fighter games on PC have always been very highly regarded in the pantheon of Star Wars video games, and the Rogue Squadron series carries even higher esteem in the eyes of fans.
We have not, however, seen any sort of dedicated flight-based story campaigns since the Starfighter and Jedi Starfighter titles centred around the Prequel trilogy, and this absence has definitely been noticed.
Fans have been crying out for HD remasters of the Gamecube Rogue Squadron games for years, and the passing of every subsequent E3 crushes those dreams anew.
DICE can fill this gap.
Alongside a new, ground combat-focused single player campaign which is all but a given, we need a second, separate one focused entirely on ship to ship combat, like in the Rogue Squadron/Starfighter mould.
This mode would see a huge surge of nostalgia, and would offer more, much coveted content to the Battlefront series.
