7. Redfall Gameplay Confirms It's Basically Left 4 Dead With Vampires
Microsoft opened their showcase with the first gameplay footage of Arkane Austin's new squad-based co-op shooter Redfall, which as basically everybody expected pretty much looks like Left 4 Dead with vampires.
While it would be uncharitable to call it a Left 4 Dead re-skin, the similarities in gameplay style and narrative tone are abundant, even if it looks like Redfall's scale might be somewhat more sprawling.
Arkane revealed a few slivers of the game's story and some of its playable characters, though there's still a lot that's left up in the air with Redfall not being due for release until next year.
Redfall will launch for PC and Xbox consoles in the first half of 2023, and of course will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass.
