Super Mario Odyssey - 10 Secrets And Easter Eggs Fans Will Love

There’s a lot really cool secret little levels and challenges in Mario’s latest outing and keener eyed gamers may have noticed the inclusion of some particularly special pictures. As you’re wandering around some of Odyssey beautifully crafted Kingdoms, you might come across some oddly out of place paintings.

These have of course been lifted straight out of Mario 64 and function in a pretty similar way too.

In the original game, paintings were used as portals to each of the levels. Thankfully, Mario has the Odyssey at hand to get around nowadays, but jumping in to a painting will still send you to a different Kingdom where a Power Moon awaits.

Later in the game, paintings are also used to take players to beefed up versions of previous bosses. Some of these are a real challenge, but you’ll need to beat them if you want to collect every Power Moon available.
