6. Genji (Overwatch)

Overwatch was arguably one of the biggest hits of the decade when it released back in May of 2016. To this day, it has maintained a following of highly attentive fans who await the release of new characters and animated shorts from industry giant, Blizzard.

Taking this information into account, it has surprised many to see not a single character of the notable cast has been selected to brawl alongside Nintendo’s many champions. Considering the game's Switch release last year, many were left speculating on a possible entry from the game into the Smash roster.

It would be hard think of a better choice than fan favourite cyborg ninja Genji (and yes, it's another sword fighter).

With his shuriken and dragon blade, as well as a gravity-defying double jump, there is a lot that could be done with his character making him a good fit for the cast.
