Yes, it's still early days yet, but the lack of clan and guild support from the get-go is definitely disappointing, especially considering how handy it would be in the Dark Zone of all places. The developers have said that there's no support currently, which some have taken as a hint that it may be patched into the game in the future, but as the game is at its social peak right now, it's a shame that it's not already there for the taking. To have clan warfare in the DZ would add a whole new layer of intense gameplay, and even on a sheer level of general camaraderie, it'd be nice to have the option to join an organisation and maybe create clan-specific clothing or identifiers of some kind.
