The Witcher 3 Hearts Of Stone DLC: 5 New Details You Need To Know About

More sex, more combat - and especially more Gwent!

The first paid DLC for The Witcher 3 has been announced, taking Geralt into the Redanian city of Oxenfurt on a contract from the mysterious Gaunter O'Dim. You may know O'Dim better by his alias, 'Man of Glass', or the guy who you meet in the tavern near the beginning of Witcher 3 who reveals to know an awful lot about Geralt before suddenly disappearing. A trailer and a slew of information has been released for the highly-anticipated expansion, which promises around 10 hours of extra adventuring for Geralt. Judging by the trailer, it looks like Geralt undertakes the main quest under duress, as we see him being dragged along the ground with his hands tied with rope; this makes you wonder whether a) wouldn't it have been easier for everyone to have chucked Geralt onto a horse instead of dragging him, and b) what is old Gaunter up to? The next thing we see is Gaunter visiting Geralt in a cell and offering to 'help' him. This entails branding Geralt's face with some mysterious symbol, before sending him on a quest to take out a bandit captain called Olgierd von Everec - who is allegedly immortal. A big ask, but nothing Geralt hasn't seen before, right? Aside from the trailer, a whole lot more info about the expansion has been teased, as it promises not only to just add more content to the game, but also improve areas of the game that that were previously lacking. Read on for the 5 main things you need to know about Geralt's upcoming adventure.
