Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 Remaster Review

A kickflip up the a** this series needed.

Playing the new remaster of Tony Hawk's 1+2 is like exhaling after holding your breath for an excruciating amount of time. It's a relief, a relief that salves the burning sensation in your chest, and one that quite literally breathes life back into something.

There is no escaping just how good this remaster is, from it's wonderfully updated graphics to it's staunch determinism when it comes to presenting veteran players of the series with the best possible version of the Tony Hawk's games that they grew up on.

The series has been on the downward slope as of late, with absolute stinkers like Ride and Tony Hawks Pro Skater 5 leaving such an acrid taste in the mouths of critics and fans alike that the series was put on ice for years. However this it seemed was a necessary process as it gave Activision the wake up call it needed to actually treat this franchise with respect.
