TRUE CRIME: HONG KONG Back From The Dead!

True Crime: Hong Kong cancelled by Activision earlier this year has been revived by Square Enix and now has a second chance at being released. The game is still being developed by United Front Games and is going through Square Enix London Studios who had a helping hand in both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Just Cause 2. However, Square Enix did not obtain the IP (Intellectual Property) rights to the True Crime name, so the game will be released under a new name. This might get a little confusing if True Crime: Hong Kong brought back characters from previous games (not that anyone remembers characters from the first two games). The game was scheduled to be released this year for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC but there is now no timetable for release. Square Enix London Studios general manager Lee Singletonstated:
"We are committed to working with the team at United Front Games and giving them the time needed to realize the full potential of the game's standout features and create a truly unique open world adventure."Work has continued on the game even since the cancellation, but now that the game has been picked up they are trying to bring the team that worked on it back together. I know a lot of people called this game "the sequel that nobody wanted" but I was one of the few people who actually liked the first game and was hoping True Crime: Hong Kong would see the light of day eventually. I especially like the idea of the game being set in Hong Kong, I am getting so sick of every other game being set in New York. Here is the preview of the game that got my hopes up for it's potential, right before the game was cancelled. Is anyone else out there looking forward to this game or will this be just another forgotten open-world game?
