8 Video Game Protagonists You Fought In The Sequel

1. Kazuya Mishima - Tekken 2

Tekken 2 Kazuya
Namco

The protagonist of the original Tekken is Kazuya Mishima, who enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament in order to exact sweet revenge against his father Heihachi, who threw Kazuya off a mountain when he was just five years old in order to test his worthiness to inherit his corporate empire. Right.

As Kazuya, players defeat Heihachi at the end of the game, and in a fun turnaround he then throws Heihachi off the very same summit, in turn taking control of Heihachi's company.

But Tekken 2 involves a major role reversal, with Heihachi now the protagonist who is hell-bent on revenge against Kazuya.

You see, Kazuya has become more evil and ruthless than his father ever was, allowing the Devil within him to corrupt his soul, ensuring he needs to be stopped.

And so, the final boss of Tekken 2 is Kazuya's possessed form known as Devil Kazuya, and after Heihachi defeats him, he - you guessed it - throws him into a volcano and reclaims his corporation once again.
