UNCHARTED 3 Requires PSN Pass

Basically if you buy the game used, you will not be able to access any of the online multiplayer features without buying a $10 US code from the PlayStation store.

It has been announced that Uncharted 3 will require a PSN Pass for users to play online multiplayer. Basically if you buy the game used, you will not be able to access any of the online multiplayer features without buying a $10 US code from the PlayStation store. This PSN Pass was also used for Resistance 3 earlier this year. The game did not sell as well as expected, and ironically the lack of units shipped could hurt the number of players actually playing the game online; resulting in the PSN Pass being useless if there is no online community to support it. As much as I despise things like DRM and the PSN Pass (what's even worse is they reward people who buy the game new by turning around and nickel & dimming us to death with DLC that should have been included with the game); there is no way used games should be an issue for Uncharted 3, because everyone should buy it the minute it is released, it looks that good. Besides even if you are low on cash, all you have to do is wait two or three weeks and Amazon.com will lower the price and you will still be buying the game new and not have to worry about the PSN Pass. Release Date: November 1 US, November 2 EU
