VITA Software Line-up And Pricing Announced For Europe

News on memory cards and the games line-up for the European launch of the Vita is out.

The line-up for the Vita launch in Europe has been announced by Sony for its release on Feb 22, including both a line-up of games and more info on the slightly controversial memory cards. First up, the memory cards. It has been announced that Europe won't be getting the 32GB at launch, instead will have a selection of 4, 8 and 16GB priced as follows: 4Gb Memory Card €“ £17.99 (‚19.99) 8Gb Memory Card €“ £31.99 (‚34.99) 16Gb Memory Card €“ £44.99 (‚49.99) Next up are the games set for launch: Uncharted: Golden Abyss €“ £44.99 (‚49.99) ModNation Racers: Road Trip €“ £34.99 (‚39.99) Everybody€™s Golf €“ £34.99 (‚39.99) WipEout 2048 €“ £34.99 (‚39.99) Unit 13 €“ £34.99 (‚39.99) Little Deviants €“ £24.99 (‚29.99) Reality Fighters €“ £24.99 (‚29.99) While some may think that £44.99 is steep in pricing for what is essentially a portable game, keep in mind that the Vita is set to be much more powerful than its predecessor, and lets face it, the Uncharted series for one is known for its quality of gameplay. In short the line-up looks pretty good, with more titles to follow. Concerning the memory card, no doubt news will arrive from Japan about whether a 32GB card is really needed for the Vita or not.
