WWE 13: 10 Attitude Era Storylines That Must be Included

8. Mankind€™s First WWF Championship

Mick Foley as Mankind was one of the most loveable characters I think the WWE has ever produced. Not at first of course, but after he€™d dropped his original €˜tortured soul€™ angle in favour of a more bumbling, goofball personality, live TV crowds started to really get behind him. It was painful to watch the effortlessly likeable Mick Foley getting duped by Vince McMahon and The Rock and we surely all shared his frustration as he desperately attempted to get his hands on another title shot. And what happened next was special stuff indeed. Eventually, in response to the WWF/WCW Monday Night Wars, Mankind won The Rock€™s title on Raw - uncommon as titles usually change hands at pay-per-view. WWF won the ratings war against WCW that week€ and never lost it again. This is one of the key Attitude era moments and arguably the very foundations that have just allowed Raw to broadcast their 1000th episode. We€™d be very disappointed if we weren€™t able to re-live it in game, maybe even complete with unlockable fan signs daubed with €œMick Foley Put My Ass in This Seat!€.
