5. The Return Of Some Old Favourites
I don't know about you, but growing up through the mid to late nineties, I was an avid wrestling fan. I couldn't get enough of it. Each week I would religiously tune in to Raw and Smackdown and then stay up until 4am to watch the PPV's. (That's Pay Per Views to non-wrestling folk). Then as time ravaged my immaturity, I unfortunately no longer enjoyed watching half naked men grapple with each other. I would still buy the games, purely because I enjoy a good fighting game, but as time passed by, the rosters in each would become more and more alien to me. Fortunately, with the Attitude Era having a strong bearing on this title, the return of some old favourites from those days of watching the (then) WWF will make the roster a lot more recognisable, especially for those of us who have only fleetingly kept in touch with the franchise. With the likes of Shane McMahon, Road Dogg, Ken Shamrock, The APA, The Godfather and Eddie Guerrero making up this years roster, fans of the series when it first began can dip back into it and almost pick up where they left off (after puberty).
