9. nWo Vs The Shield
The opportunity to play the original nWo together, thanks to the presence of founding members Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash is a particularly appealing one, and though some players might have some fun pitting the original nWo against one of the variant line-ups, or putting together a rebel alliance of members who were kicked out, there is a greater team face-off choice from the initial roster. The presence of The Shield means this stable vs stable bout is a must-play, since both teams were presented as outsiders, introduced to destabilise and destroy the current world order, and with a convincing real-life face-off unlikely thanks to the advancing age, and reducing power of the old guard, an in-game set-up is a big opportunity. The Shield have been accused of being a brainless rip-off of nWo, but the two are far from identical, aside from some similarities in their objective - Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns are all talented fighters, and their flair would be matched by the experience and the prowess (as well as the enduring popularity) of the older heads of nWo.
Who Should Win? nWo The Shield have recently lost their mojo somewhat, picking up way more defeats than their early presence and impact would have suggested, and the original nWo were a profoundly talented outfit. No contest.
