WWE 2K15: 15 Legends Who Need To Join Sting On The Roster

The Icon needs a few Legends to play with.

With the announcement that Sting would be joining the roster of the upcoming WWE 2K15 as a pre-order bonus character, fans were agog. Last year€™s WWE2K14 was a showcase for how it was possible to combine the rich history of World Wrestling Entertainment with the incredible graphics and state-of-the-art gameplay of a cutting edge video game. The two story modes in particular, 30 Years Of Wrestlemania and The Streak, brought Wrestlemania to life for gamers the world over, allowing us to work our way through three decades of WWF and WWE stories on the grandest stage of them all. But Sting€ he was one of the only professional wrestling legends never to wrestle for either WWF or WWE. Although the company had teased signing The Icon for some time (even posting a speculative promotional video for a potential Sting/Undertaker match on wwe.com back in April), July saw the months of rumours finally come to a head: Sting was now signed to WWE, at least nominally, telling the Daily Mirror that he was now €œpart of the WWE family.€ With Sting never having wrestled for WWE before (unless you count his final appearance in the ring for WCW Nitro€™s final show, which technically came after the WWF had purchased the ailing promotion), we€™re suddenly faced with a whole range of fascinating possibilities, with the potential for delving into the legacy of WCW€ possibly the entire history of professional wrestling itself. To dive right into the speculation, here's a carefully selected countdown of 15 professional wrestling legends that should join The Icon on the roster of WWE 2K15. (You€™ll notice there€™s no Mick Foley, Jesse Ventura or €˜Superstar€™ Billy Graham €“ that€™s because rumour has it that each of these legendary retired performers has beef with WWE, Foley specifically over his declining financial return from video games over the past couple of years).
