WWE 2K15 Behind The Scenes Video Reveals New Info

More information revealed, as well as some peeks behind the curtain.

As the release date for WWE 2K15 -- October 28th -- continues to grow near, there seems to be a more steady flow of information being released. IGN has now released an exclusive video entitled €œThe Making of WWE 2K15€, which seems to be the first in a series of videos. It€™s unclear how many episodes there will be, but the first one provides some solid information, as well as a great behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the wrestling simulator. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnxqG25r_io Throughout the video, there€™s copious amounts of footage which showcases Cesaro performing motion capture for the game. Cesaro is shown performing various taunts, posing with a championship belt, and executing some of his signature moves. It seems that 2K mo-capped everything unique about Cesaro, especially his diverse moveset. The 6€™5€ powerhouse performed moves like a catching tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, a gutwrench suplex, and of course, his signature giant swing. Elsewhere in the video, a great deal of superstars are shown getting their face scans done. According to WWE 2K15€™s Executive Producer, Mark Little, the 2K crew traveled to various WWE live events and television tapings, where they would set up their scanning rig €œin the backs of stadiums.€ The facial scanning technology looks quite sophisticated, and the results definitely show in the game€™s released screenshots and videos. A number of superstars are shown getting their faces photographed and scanned from every imaginable angle. Naomi, the Big Show, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Randy Orton, and even John Laurinaitis are shown sitting down for the 2K crew. This video seems to confirm Johnny Ace€™s inclusion in the new game -- which makes sense due to his involvement in the John Cena/CM Punk storyline that is featured in the game€™s Showcase mode. Another famous wrestling personality that may be confirmed for inclusion thanks to this video is Hall of Fame manager, €œThe Mouth of the South€ Jimmy Hart. Hart adds his thoughts with €œBeing in the new game is unbelievable!€ Hulk Hogan also commented on the game and its technology by stating, €œIt looks like the real deal.€ Another aspect and improvement of this year€™s game is touched on in the short video, and that€™s the newly recorded commentary. Michael Cole and Jerry €œThe King€ Lawler return as this year€™s commentary team, but 2K had them record a plethora of new lines. It also seems that 2K had them record their dialogue together, sitting side-by-side. This hopefully means that the commentary will be less stilted than previous years, with greater interplay between the two. As WWE 2K15 approaches its release in two months€™ time, there will undoubtedly be more details to come. We will continue to provide updates on the game as they become available. Let us know your thoughts on this latest video and the details revealed within in the comments below.
