7. Samoa Joe
Samoa Joe first appeared on NXT this past May, showing up unannounced and confronting Kevin Owens. The man had previously left long-time employer TNA in February, leading many to believe it'd only be a matter of time before he showed up in WWE. Despite only being part of the developmental system in the company to date, Joe would have been a popular choice for 2K16. As things stand, there are rumours that he'll be available as part of a future DLC pack. However, there's confusion over why he wasn't included in the game to begin with. Given that he's a newcomer to WWE, Joe would have represented a completely fresh character for fans to play around with. WWE had time to green light Samoa Joe for the game, but they've clearly chosen not to. 2K Sports is a development house full of hardcore wrestling fans, that's obvious from interviews about the development process. It's unlikely that staff didn't want to build Joe, but he remains a curious omission from the initial roster.
