Playing an even bigger role in Austin's career than Ted DiBiase, Owen Hart's omission is a sad one. On one hand, it's completely understandable however. WWE still have ongoing troubles with Owen's widow, Martha, problems which are seemingly keeping him from being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Image rights are probably to blame for Owen not being in WWE 2K16. It makes perfect sense that 2K Sports would have loved to have included the Canadian star, especially considering his history with Steve Austin. At SummerSlam 1997, Hart faced Austin in an infamous match. During the bout, Owen clumsily broke Austin's neck with a Piledriver, and the 'Bionic Redneck' was arguably never the same again. Owen Hart has a WWE DVD set about to see release. The perfect accompaniment to that would have been to be able to play as the man in 2K16. Owen hasn't been featured in a WWF/WWE video game for a long, long time now, so he'd likely be a selling point for 2K. It's a crying shame that such an important match from Steve Austin's career won't be part of proceedings.
