WWE 2K16: 10 Things You Need To Know About Stone Cold's Deal
7. WrestleMania 32 Isn't Part Of The Deal
The hot rumour coming out of 2K16's Austin reveal was that he would be working WrestleMania 32 as a part of the deal. That just isn't true. The latest inside word from a recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter is that Vince McMahon has no intention of promoting a Stone Cold match at next year's Dallas supershow. Neither side has talked about it, and this is what Austin told MTV UK when asked about a potential in-ring return linked to the 2K16 game "So I would go on record: dont look forward to me putting on the trunks and knee braces to get back in the ring and stomp a mudhole in somebody and walking it dry. Hows that work for you?" He's flat out ruled the in-ring return out with that statement. The fact is that neither WWE or Austin have talked about a comeback match. From WWE's point of view, wrestler health is such a massive concern these days. With Austin's bad neck and the 51 year age he'll be by WrestleMania 32, it looks way too big of a risk for WWE to take. The rumour will continue to fly, simply because Sting's 2K deal resulted in a WWE match. But it isn't happening for Austin, WWE's WrestleMania priority is The Rock versus Triple H.
