10. Roster And Attires No Doubt Be Outdated At Launch
It used to happen back in the day, when Smackdown's Just Bring It through the Vs. Raw games were in full flow, and it'll happen come October 27th. Somewhat due to inevitability, there's just no way to put out a WWE 2K game that can be bang-on up-to-date when it comes to roster inclusions, new costumes/attires, entrance animations or occasionally even finishers. Already we know thanks to the ongoing Diva revolution, Sasha Banks confirmed via Twitter she's being held back back from the already-overblown 127-strong roster, and that's alongside the likes of Roddy Piper, RVD and Dusty Rhodes (to name but three big omissions) as latent fan-favourites nowhere to be seen. Basically, it boils down to pure business; always keep your audience wanting more. Where's the impetus to buy the following year's instalment if you already have everything down-pat in its current form? Essentially it flies in the face of the whole "This is the most complete game yet!" marketing ethos, and as we've seen with the Assassin's Creed series,
running it into the ground with yearly instalments is just about the worst thing you could do anyway.
