WWE 2K18: 10 Desired Wrestlers Who Won't Be In The Game
7. Corey Graves
Now I know the title of this list specifies 'wrestlers' who won't be in 2K18 but this one is worth mentioning. Even though he very much should be, there's a strong chance Corey Graves won't make the cut when the game hits the shelves in the autumn.
This should be the first WWE game to incorporate the brand split, so Graves' place should be assured. However, there is an argument that 2K17 could have included the split with planning for the big extension of RAW and SmackDown presumably stretching many months before the game hit the shelves last autumn. That didn't happen for one reason or another, with the commentary team of Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, and JBL manning everything that happened in the game.
Graves' place in the game could hinge on how Jerry Lawler is viewed by developers and decision makers alike. The King is old news now in terms of WWE's programming, but his commentary is already recorded and could save the developers a shed load of problems in the early stages of putting this year's game together. One thing you cannot accuse the 2K team of doing is cutting corners, which hopefully means we'll get two brand specific commentary teams. If we're only given one hopefully Graves will join Cole and Bradshaw in the game. The former NXT Tag Team Champion's brand of witty commentary lends itself better to crowd popping soundbites that will enhance matches.
If the powers that be at 2K want Graves to be in he will be, although you can see how it would be far easier for them if he wasn't. Only time will tell on this one I suppose.
