Yes, the commentary in 2K17 is still as stilted, awkward and lazily recycled as ever, but the real tragedy of this year's offering is that neither the brilliant Mauro Ranallo nor Corey Graves are in the game.

Instead, players have to settle for JBL, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler, a rather uninspired selection given how Ranallo and Graves are near-universally regarded as the best announcers working in WWE today.

While it's a big ask for 2K to allow players to choose commentary teams given the amount of extra dialogue that would need to be recorded, are there any fans who would actually object to Mauro and Corey just calling commentary for the entire game? Surely not.
