Nor can WCW be fairly recreated without the aristocrat Lord Steven Regal, whom today helps train upcoming superstars in WWE's developmental territory, NXT. Considering Regal's involvement down in Orlando and his close ties to NXT creator Paul "Triple H" Levesque, the NXT trainer's exclusion from WWE 2K17 is a bit surprising.

Like the previously discussed personas of Sean Waltman and Mick Foley, Regal, too, portrayed numerous characters over the years. The aforementioned WCW blue blood, the short-lived WWF 'Real Man's Man', and of course the "Power of the Punch" and former King of the Ring William Regal were all personas that the real-life Darren Matthews made famous.

Fans should expect to see at least one of these monikers make it to the release of WWE 2K18. As for which one? Surely, WWE could do worse than including Regal's early Attitude Era counterpart if for no other reason than this superstar's incredible theme song?
