With WWE 2K22 now just a month away, 2K Games have moved to announce four playable legends for the upcoming release.

As revealed on Twitter via a 25-second clip, WWE 2K22 will feature Booker T, Chyna, Big Boss Man and 'Macho Man' Randy Savage - four names who are all WWE Hall of Famers.

These four legends have been included in previous video games, but this time out they look a whole lot better than in prior releases. In particular, the models for Chyna and Randy Savage seem hugely improved upon what fans have been used to.

As for WWE 2K22 itself, a significant part of the game will be based around another legend: Rey Mysterio.

Not just is Rey the main cover star here, but he'll get his own Showcase mode in addition to gamers being able to play as a classic version of Mysterio from WCW Halloween Havoc '96. There is also an nWo variant of the release, with that bringing Hollywood Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Syxx and Eric Bischoff as playable characters. Continuing the theme of legends, all pre-orders of 2K22 will feature three versions of the Undertaker.

WWE 2K22 hits PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam from 11 March.

Of course, this is the first standard 2K WWE game since the dire, glitch-riddled WWE 2K20 that was so bad players were able to get refunds for the simple fact of how awful the release was. As a result, 2K Games cancelled plans for WWE 2K21 in order to focus on getting things right for 2K22.
