WWE SmackDown Here Comes The Pain Remaster: 10 Things It Must Have

10. Absolutely No Commentary

SmackDown Just Bring It
THQ/Yukes

The above still is ripped from the back of SmackDown: Just Bring It's box. It shows Michael Cole and Tazz (in his ring gear, for some reason) calling commentary on the PS2's first slice of wrasslin' goodness. Instead of "call the action" though, it should've said, "Tazz and Michael Cole destroy your gaming experience".

Their commentary was 100% twaddle.

In any HCTP remaster, Yukes should follow THQ's lead from Shut Your Mouth and that game's original by removing commentary altogether. Hey, it's not like 2K have done a better job with the announcing anyway. It's still just as horrible in 2K19 as it was back in the day. It's so horrendous, in fact, that even 1999's WCW Mayhem on PSOne makes a mockery of it.

By removing comms completely, Yukes would be saving themselves the headache. Nobody wants their buttery-smooth Here Comes The Pain experience to lean heavy on the last word of that title. Pain.
