Xbox Kinect 2 Will Read Lips?

Microsoft Kinect will have some major advancements over its' predecessor, mainly the ability to read lips and facial animations

rumor popped up today that the next Microsoft Kinect will have some major advancements over its' predecessor, mainly that the Kinect 2 will be able to read lips and facial animations. According to one report the next version of Kinect is most likely being developed alongside the next generation Xbox. In addition, the "Kinect 2" will allow for better motion sensing and voice recognition that will be so powerful that it will "enable games to lip read, detect when players are angry, and determine in which direction they are facing." Apparently one of the major reasons why the first Kinect is so limited is because of the USB connection; unfortunately the USB connection on the current Xbox does not allow for a tremendous amount of data to be used through it. However, according to this report the next Kinect will not have this issue, because it will give the Xbox more information leading to a higher resolution.

"It can be cabled straight through on any number of technologies that just take phenomenally high res data straight to the main processor and straight to the main RAM and ask, what do you want to do with it?"
From the sound of it we will be getting a new version of Kinect when the next generation Xbox is released. Right now I don't own a Kinect, so I am curious to see if anyone out there is excited for a more powerful version of Kinect?
