9. Voice Audio
Elaborating on the subject of Twitch, your audio commentary isnt going to sound clear either at all. Its not just when broadcasting live gameplay though, or a problem exclusive to the PlayStation 4. Whether youre sending friends voice messages, chatting in a party, or Skyping through Xbox One, your voice audio will come out muffled and as if youre talking from five rooms away. The root of the issue stems from the fact that both Sony and Microsoft have bundled in extremely low grade headsets with the consoles. Of course, this could be perceived as a blessing in disguise considering that more high quality microphones would further jack up an expensive endeavour, but I cant imagine people are exactly ecstatic about this quality. Its also worth mentioning that Microsofts Kinect doesnt make for a better microphone. Audio is simply busted on both consoles, with Microsoft stating that it could take up until 2015 to retool their party chat functionality.
