Its safe to say that both consoles launched with a strong lineup of games thanks to fan favorite franchise such as Assassins Creed and NBA 2K, but in the long run most people buy consoles with exclusive titles that appeal to their personal interest. I have no doubts that Sonys strong first party support presence will carry over into this new generation, but launch titles are impressionable and influential in pushing early adopters over the edge. Realistically though, both consoles have a disappointing exclusive launch lineup, ripe with games that failed to deliver or were delayed altogether. The only next generation exclusive titles that have wowed me on a large scale are the vibrant and colorful SHMUP Resogun for the Playstation 4, and Dead Rising 3 for the Xbox One. Everything else does an admirable job at showcasing just how powerful these machines are graphically, but left much to be desired in more important areas of game design. I suppose this isnt anything groundbreaking though when you look back at past console launches.
