10 Horror Movie Plot Twists EVERYONE Guessed
7. Scream V And Scream VI - The Family Of Predictable Psychos
Scream V and Scream VI are both pretty bloody awesome, and probably the best films on this list. Having said that, they did stick out in one unfortunate way: in a franchise previously filled with amazing and unpredictable twists, both of these films had killer reveals that were easy to see coming.
Scream V has two killers and while Amber Freeman (Anora's Mikey Madison) was a good choice, the revelation that the protagonist's boyfriend, Richie Kirsch (Jack Quaid) was the second killer was disappointingly predictable. In an earlier scene Dewey (David Arquette) had basically spelled it out and, as a reboot, the film spent a lot of time paying homage to the original, so it lifting the twist of the Final Girl's boyfriend being the killer was a foreseeable plot twist, one that would've been best been avoided.
Scream VI was the first entry to feature three Ghostface killers and while Ethan Landry (Jack Champion) was a surprise, the other two were pretty obvious. In an earlier scene, Quinn Bailey (Liana Liberato) had 'died' mostly off-screen, which is always a giveaway of a fake-out death, and her detective father Wayne (Dermot Mulroney) was the one who went in to see the body, so he could've easily snuck her out. He'd also mentioned losing his son without elaborating, hinting at the link to Ritchie, and throughout the film the killer had been leaving a trail of past Ghostface masks. Realistically, only a police officer would've been able to get access to those.
