10 Horror Movies That Suck So Bad You Can't Believe They Got Made

Sadly nothing to do with Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island, the 2008 film just called Shutter is an American remake of a Thai movie from four years earlier.

A photographer moves to Japan with his new wife to work on a series of fashion shoots, but when they get into a traffic accident that leads to the death of a young girl, strange lights start to appear in his pictures. Must be an evil spirit - that or he's just bad at his job.

The Thai film was a big hit, helping to put that country's horror movie industry on the map. As for the Western version, let's just say it didn't translate as well.

Whilst the original Shutter has a certain charm to it, the remake is as bland as plain white bread, and even worse for your health. It's riddled with cliches, overly-used tropes, and disappointing scene after disappointing scene. It becomes clear very quickly that this was only produced to cash in on a trend.

Unfortunately, considering it made $48 million off an $8 million budget, it achieved its goal.

That's the real horror story right there.
