10 Horror Sequels EVERYONE Wants To See

8. Drag Me to Hell 2

Sam Raimi's Drag Me to Hell is a damn blast - his 2009 supernatural horror flick found a perfect balance between camp, gross-out, and genuine terror, leading up to an unforgettably bleak ending that surely left the door open for another go-around.

Yet despite the film grossing over $90 million globally - that's triple its budget - a sequel still hasn't materialised.

Raimi has discussed the idea of a sequel many times over the years, though in 2019 he stated that he wasn't sure where it could go, feeling that the original's downer ending sealed protagonist Christine's (Alison Lohman) fate.

All the same, many fans would love to see a new film where Christine's boyfriend Clay (Justin Long) is still trying to rescue her from Hell - a common title suggestion being Drag Me from Hell.

But in early 2023, Raimi thankfully changed his tune, revealing that his Ghost House Pictures label was busy trying to figure out a premise for Drag Me to Hell 2, and if they can crack the concept, then the sequel will indeed happen. Here's hoping.
