20 AWFUL Horror Movie Moments You Wish You Could Forget

15. Alien: Covenant: "I'll Do The Fingering"

Michael Fassbender's magisterial dual performance in Alien: Covenant is one of the most brilliant performances in a bad movie ever, and one of the many, many things Fassbender deserves praise for is managing to deliver this line without bursting into hysterical laughter.

Granted, this is a very brief moment, but there's a good reason it's so widely-remembered even now. That's just how misjudged it was. In this moment, android antagonist David (Michael Fassbender) is teaching fellow android Walter (also Fassbender) to play a flute - he puts the flute to Walter's lips and says "I'll do the fingering."

The reaction will depend on the viewer - some will burst out laughing, others will just grimace until their face hurts. Needless to say, it'll be nothing good. How did this get past the massive team working on a big-budget Hollywood tentpole like this? Then again, perhaps that's a silly question, as this was a film full of iffy decisions that were somehow allowed to slide. Having said that, nothing made less sense than this.
