8. Amber Freeman - Scream (2022)
No Ghostface to date has suffered quite such a metal death as the fifth film's Amber, who is shot by Gale and falls onto the nearby stove, immediately catching fire and suffering an agonising slow-roast to near-death.
It's gnarly enough that both Gale and Sid wince while watching her burn, though it doesn't stop Sid letting out the immortal quip, "Enjoy that torch."
But that's not quite the end for Amber, as after Sam dispatches Richie, Amber springs back to life and runs towards the heroes with a knife, her face now horribly mutated by the burns. Yet the day is saved by Tara, who fires one well-placed bullet in Amber's head, bringing her reign of terror to an end.
It's such a wild death, and such a fun nod to the similarly fiery demise of Mikey Madison's villain in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, that even Tara's woefully corny one-liner - "I still prefer The Babadook" - can't derail it.
