Richie Kirsch (Jack Quaid) may have been one of the more obvious killers in the Scream franchise, but at least he also met an unforgettably grisly end.

In Richie's final tussle with Sam, she suggests a new rule - "never f**k with the daughter of a serial killer."

This is because, of course, Sam is the secret daughter of original Ghostface killer Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich), prompting her to harness that seemingly inherited killer instinct to fight back against Richie. She stabs him in the neck before following up with several dozen stabs with the ferocity you'd expect from, well, an actual Ghostface killer. When a mortally wounded Richie asks Sam about his planned ending, she wryly tells him, "Here it comes," before slitting his throat.

Given that most of the Ghostface killers end up being shot dead, it was neat to see one dispatched with a knife by someone who is also incredibly adept at using one. And like that, all but the most ardent Sam skeptics were won over.
