20 Horror Movies That Were JUST Announced

Despite taking way too long to come out, Orphan: First Kill was a good deal better than most expected from the hugely belated horror prequel, and while director William Brent Bell wasted little time in discussing plans for a third film, many assumed it might not happen.

After all, every passing year makes it tougher for actress Isabelle Fuhrman to convincingly portray a woman with a hormone disorder which causes her to resemble a child.

First Kill was already stretching credibility to near-breaking point in this regard, and with the series' generally low budget, there simply aren't the resources to do fancy digital de-aging.

But pretty much out of nowhere, it was announced that the third film, Orphans, began filming this past November.

The threequel will be set between the first and second films and apparently revolve around Esther/Leena taking on a monstrous predator with a penchant for kidnapping young children.

Though the potential for a hot mess is undeniable, given that First Kill writer David Coggeshall returned to pen the script, there's a solid chance it's got a few fun surprises up its sleeve.
