12. Nicole Kidman - The Young People
Longlegs filmmaker Osgood Perkins is certainly an actors' director, his films having delivered some of the most distinctive work from performers such as Kiernan Shipka, Nicolas Cage, Theo James, and Tatiana Maslany.
Though we don't know too much about Perkins' new film The Young People, we do know that it boasts quite the diverse supporting cast, including among its ensemble Tatiana Maslany, Johnny Knoxville, Heather Graham, and most surprising of all, Nicole Kidman.
Kidman is nothing if not a tenacious performer willing to fully embrace challenging roles, and from what little we know so far about this film, she may well be playing an older cult member who wishes to exploit Lola Tung and Nico Parker's younger protagonists for her own ends.
Perkins is playing his cards pretty close to the chest right now, so we don't know for sure precisely who Kidman is playing, but she's presumably not going to rock up for a disposable, throwaway supporting role; she's almost certainly here as a prominent antagonist.
