Those folks at
Latino Review are back with another scoop. This time it's the graphic novel series
Runoff that's in question with creator Tom Manning claiming that visionary director
Guillermo del Toro has been slowly developing the project over the past 12 months. This is what he told the site...
"Guillermo Del Toro, Nick Nunziata and Lloyd Levin basically contacted me a year ago and we started talking about doing this project together....It's been moving along in baby steps ever since, but I think that's the way of Hollywood. We haven't worked out contractual details yet, so there are quite a few hoops to jump through before we're rolling any film. I'm not sure where this would fit into Guillermo's schedule, I know he's got his fingers in a lot of projects, but I hope Runoff cuts in line once it's a go.

clicking here. I've never heard of Runoff but apparently it has something to do with being set around an eerie town where once you enter, you cannot leave. It's said to be a series that has a whole different clash of genre's within it's town, so sometimes it's a horror story, sometimes it's a thriller and sometimes it's a comedy. Can you imagine how much fun del Toro would have with that? Could work begin on this after
Hellboy 2 has been completed? Maybe. He has his
Tarzan movie possibly on the horizon along with his Spanish ghost story film
3993 so unless Runoff takes the place of one of them, he won't be directing it anytime soon. Runoff does sound interesting though, and if del Toro has been working on it for a year now then he must think so too.
